Mound House - New
Bronte, NSW
Curved forms echo the former dunal system
Two curved copper forms step up slope and open to east and northern sun traps. A black screened shade device makes external living easier and attenuates harsh sunlight to the interiors. Timber floors and joinery soften and warm the living spaces. An upper bathroom is screened by a projecting planted area. Windows are sized to accommodate east to west solar performance and make external connections to the earth and gardens.
