A layered set of metal screens attenuates hot west sun and creates multi-balconied privacy decks for the inhabitants. Conceived as a new Loft building, all apartments contain large void spaces. The cool concrete lobby and service core are continued into the loft apartments. Dramatic black mosaic bathrooms and tiled baths create respite from the filtered light.
