A radical clip-on pedestrian gantry freed up the entire interior space = better planned spaces and greater yield!

A radical metallic pedestrian circulation system was clipped on to the side of the exterior to free up the entire existing school for new apartments. It also provide open space, and a new vertical circulation system. Structural bays, columns and beams were carefully framed into each loft. First floor bedrooms were suspended within the volumes. Timber floors and kitchens and white gallery walls ensured uplifting, living environments, which allowed occupants to decorate these lofty spaces to their will.
